WHY TSIYINU M.A BASIC SCHOOL NEEDS A NEW CLASSROOM BLOCK FOR THE PRIMARY SESSION.
Some decades ago, Tsiyinu community through communal labour constructed the classroom structure for formal education. The ancient old classroom structure saw some renovations but the old technology used cannot stand the taste of time.
On Monday 24th May 2022, the school experienced the falling of the backend of the Basic three (3) classroom and part of the Basic four (4) classroom. The other classrooms are likely to experience the same when more rainstorms come.
The psychological, emotional, and physical trauma the children are likely to be experiencing cannot be quantified.
The total number of pupils affected is thirty-three (33), twenty-three (23) boys, and ten (10) girls. These pupils are currently learning under a tree.
The community sent a delegation to the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Anthony Ablorde Avorgbedor, to draw his attention to the incident and he promised to visit the site on Monday 30th May 2022 for first-hand information. In addition, a situational report was also written by the headteacher, Mawuli Maxwell Seshie, to the Municipal Education Directorate for swift action to be taken.
Teaching and learning may temporarily be affected and that has its repercussions. However, conscious efforts are underway to quickly correct the anomalies for smooth teaching and learning to continue.
Invest in yourself through your children for a better future.
