TSIYINU M/A BASIC SCHOOL BEGAN HER ‘JICA’ REMEDIAL LESSONS

A survey conducted and supported by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in September and October, 2019 in eight (8) circuits in Akatsi South Municipal of the Volta region revealed that ‘it is difficult for teachers to allocate sufficient time to enable pupils to review what they learnt and do more exercises…’ Pupils too have little time to practice on their own what was taught due to various reasons.

Consequently, remedial lessons are seen as the most important vehicle to contribute to maximizing the learning time for pupils especially outside the normal classroom experiences.

Tsiyinu M/A basic never wants to be left out, began her remedial lessons on this 15th day of August, 2022. As demanded, the various classifications were done and the school has six (6) levels. The various levels are named as tabulated below:

 The committed and dedicated teachers supported by hard working SMC chairman and some vibrant youths of Tsiyinu community are undertaking the facilitations.

Education is the key as it is usually said. Because good education is always expensive, it is incumbent upon all and sundry to invest in it. Investing in children’s education is investing in your own future. It works like a boomerang effect. Do you know what other thing it does? It shows that you are a positive role model to the children.
